Let sleeping cats …

In the middle of the night I got up to go to the bathroom and realized we’d left the lights on – as I walked by the office, I saw what our cats do when we are not around …

Hangin’ With Mr. Ted

me and Teddy the Himalayan

Enjoying a cool Sunday afternoon with our wanna-be-outdoor cat, Teddy!
(We don’t let him actually touch the ground except warm days in Winter …)

And what do I see from that chair? Its a nice view towards the house, even more pleasant with all the azaleas in full bloom, the sound of the waterfalls (just below the gargoyle) for our pond, the Japanese Maple … just a very soothing Sunday afternoon.

Its Showtime!

We are having our bathroom remodeled, so, I opened the carton for the recently delivered but not-yet-installed vanity in the living room, and our cat, Dolly Lama Diva, decided it was just perfect for her to explore.
I think she wants to be a show cat!

(Apologies for the title – we watched the Bob Fosse biopic “All That Jazz” again last weekend)

Its not all Geeky

Just so you don’t think I’m all computers and motorcycles and sportscars, here’s 2 pictures of Dolly Lama Diva from this weekend …
Dolly Lama – because she is a Himalayan Cat, and Diva … well … if you knew her, you’d know thats exactly what she is!

Visiting Cat …

On Saturday we were cleaning house upstairs. I’d left the main door open to let in some light – and it amuses the cats to watch the squirrels foraging for nuts.
About midafternoon as I walk by the top of the steps, I noticed the cats were very interested in something outside.
Seemed a neighbor cat had come by for a visit!

This is a real photo of our cats, not posed, no catnip was consumed in the making of this shot, no photoshop creativity (other than resizing the picture, curing red-eye, and minor contrast enhancement) – its pretty much directly out of my Olympus digital camera!

Let Sleepin’ Cats lie…

Okay – so we’re relaxing after dinner, watching Home and Garden TV, when we glance over at the cats and see them sleeping, Dolly hugging Teddy.

And yes, Teddy is kinda hanging off the end of the sofa – he is the chill cat – he knows how to relax!

Careful with that Cat …

I’ve probably mentioned before that we’d adopted two cats.
Dolly is the girl-cat and she seems to have bonded to me, Teddy has bonded to Emma. Emma has discovered that Teddy rolls around in all kinds of odd positions while he sleeps. She’s started using the old digicam to archive some of his poses – and hopes to put some of them up in our sister log, Cattitude – but she’s kinda busy right now.
Anyway – here’s one of the stranger Teddy poses she caught – The red-eye is from the flash, of course, but the tongue and paw pose is all his.
That strange Teddy!
