By late-June it was nearly two months since I started this - and ...
over six weeks since I put fish in the pond!
I started with nearly 2 dozen "feeder" goldfish
lost almost a dozen the first two weeks ...
then they started settling in, and they started to G R O W!
They've gotten pretty large, as of June 28 ...
We found a lot of wildlife has been enjoying the pond - squirrels, local cats, and birds! It seems lots of birds like to hop into the smaller pools and splash around!
Look for the bluejay at near top of the picture

It is said - If you build it, they will come ... for a drink!
Really not bad for a digital camera with no telephoto lens!
I had no idea how pleasant and soothing it would be to have a pond out back.
Its really been very relaxing after a day at work to come out back, sit on the bench,
and quietly unwind, soak in the sounds of the falling water, and watch the fish zpooming around.
We have seen bluejays, cardinals, goldfinch, marlins, robins, and many, many others.
