I'm Heather - I'm a music fan, a car buff,
web developer, and a second-generation Washingtonian!
Welcome to my own little corner of the web!
The latest information can be found in my weblog - a kind of online journal
I'm reliving my younger days - but doing them with a better budget!

I've gotten quite intrigued by the Gospel of Thomas - one of the documents found at Nag Hammadi in 1945. Its a series of 114 sayings from the early years of Christianity - and has what we think of now as a very eastern feeling - many of them sound very much like Zen koans.
3 Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is within you and it is outside you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."
68 Jesus said, "Congratulations to you when you are hated and persecuted; and no place will be found, wherever you have been persecuted."
77 Jesus said, "I am the light that is over all things. I am all: from me all came forth, and to me all attained. Split a piece of wood; I am there. Lift up the stone, and you will find me there."
Of course, these kinds of sayings have been hidden since the Holy Catholic Church pushed them out of the "authorized" canon in the second century and third century - and they remained hidden until the find at Nag Hammadi.
There's a bunch of stuff here - tho I'm always behind with site updates -
seems I have more fun in realspace than I do building long pages here!
So - this time around, I'm trimming my site down to a minimal size!
Hey, even our Cats have a page here!
... and so do the fish in the pond!
We've had a chance to hear some really good music over the last few years -
We saw Bryan Ferry at the Nightclub 930 a few years back - he was touring the US to promote his new album,
Frantic. I'm a long-time fan of his music, and Roxy Music ...
We saw David Sylvian on May 2, 2002
at the Nightclub 9:30 in DC. what a great show!
Back in 2001, we saw Roxy Music in June at Merriweather Post Pavilion,
and that August, we saw Lyle Lovette and his Large Band, and YES: Symphonic at Wolf Trap.
For REAL FUN, we saw Lypsinka at the Studio Theatre in DC - we laughed, and laughed, and laughed ... whew!
I'me also a fan of a really good local band - we first heard them at a coffeehouse in Rockville, MD. - Cliff Art! I've found some really enjoyable music on CD, too ... visit my musica page for more specifics and a list of CDs ... (but I'll admit, the list is WAY out of date!) ...
Far too many people have passed through here
since I created my first web pages back in 07/04/95
(to say nothing of the Opus BBS before that!)
